LB Music School student Policies
Initial Enrollment Cost
· The first month's tuition and a $35 registration fee are required at the time of enrollment. Tuition for the first month will be prorated based on the number of weekly lessons remaining in the month that the student enrolls.
· 48 HOUR OPT OUT PERIOD: The first lesson is non-refundable. Students may cancel their enrollment and still receive a refund for remaining unattended lessons plus registration fee if LB Music School receives an official Withdrawal Form within 48 hours following your first lesson. To opt out.
· After the 48hour opt out period, the first month's tuition and registration fee are no longer refundable. The student account will remain active until an official Withdrawal Form is submitted (see Discontinuing Lessons below).
Monthly Tuition
· LB Music School charges for music lessons on a recurring monthly basis. After your first month's tuition is paid, all future tuition charges will occur on or around the 20th of each month for the following month.
·For example, payment made in January will cover tuition for the month of February, so forth and so on. Monthly tuition payments are prorated based on the number of weeks in each month (i.e. 3, 4, or 5 lessons). Students are not charged for holidays that LB Music School is closed.
·Lessons are billed at the lesson rate of:
$49 per 30-minute lesson
$73.50 per 45-minute lesson
$98 per 60-minute lesson
LB Music School offers a 3-day grace period for late payments. Payments made beyond the 3-day grace period will result in a $10.00 late fee.
**Please note that an additional one-time registration fee of $35 will be due at time of enrollment.
Lesson Cancellations & Tardiness
· Student Cancellations/Tardiness: No refunds will be offered for missed lessons. If a student is unable to attend their scheduled lesson in-person, LB Music School can offer either a personalized video replacement lesson made by their teacher, or their lesson may be conducted remotely via Zoom. Otherwise, the missed lesson will be forfeited. Please note that in order to receive a video replacement lesson, at least one hour of notice is required. If the student arrives late to their lesson, the lesson will still end at its regularly scheduled time.
· Teacher Absence: Teacher absences may be covered by a substitute teacher. If we are unable to provide a substitute, a student's lesson will be cancelled and a refund will be issued for that missed lesson.
· School Closings: LB Music School does not follow local school closures and will notify students of any weather-related cancellations. If lessons cannot be conducted in-person, lessons will either be held online via Zoom or the lesson will be cancelled and refunded. Students may also opt for a video replacement lesson if Zoom is not an option. No refunds will be offered if the school remains open for in-person lessons. Students may also opt to take an online Zoom lesson if they choose not to travel.
Discontinuing Lessons
· Students are responsible for submitting a formal Withdrawal form via the LB Music School Website on or before the 15th of the month.
· Requests to discontinue lessons must be made on or before the 15th of the month. If students submit the Withdrawal form after the 15th of the month, the student will be charged for the next month and will remain enrolled at LB Music School through that month.
